Spirit World + Human Afterlife

Does the human afterlife (for the movie--I'm not talking about real religions) have any connection to the spirit world?  Is it (part of) the spirit world?  Once Chihiro dies, would she be able to meet Haku again, or would the afterlife, like her world, still be "cut off" from his realm?  Would she (and all the other beings in the afterlife) become spirits there and then live in the spirit world or not?

I would assume the human-like spirits from the train are citizens of the human afterlife. However, they could also become spirits in the Spirit World. It could go either way.
